"Writing Godless Circumcisions was simultaneously the hardest and easiest endeavor I've ever undertaken. The challenge of re-membering--the process of reconciling and calling home distant, jarring memories and selves--testifying, and bearing to witness to yourself is not for the faint of heart. However, that was my mission. I endeavored to not only speak truth to power through poetry, essays and counter-narratives but to also speak truth to self while introducing self to power. This is a book about restoration, redemption and hope for a communal, humanistic homecoming."
